TIAS Days 3 and 4

Well, 40 tulips have been accomplished but not yet ironed or blocked...this week has been busy since we started school again after our 3 week winter break! Starting back has been particularly exciting because the school moved into a brand new facility...and here's the coolest part:
Why yes, there is an airplane outside that window!
Yep, the school I volunteer teach at has an AIRPLANE outside...!
I'm not sure why, but that really makes me happy :)
So, there has been more lesson planning and less tatting happening this week...also I found a really good book that I'm into, so I've been reading a bit more too...

Anyway, I have kept up with Jane's TIAS, here are my Day 3 and 4 offerings:
Day 3--no clue!
Day 4...Mary?
From the moment I saw the diagram for Day 4 all I could think about was that it looked like a kneeling Mary in some of my nativities that are, I'm happy to admit, still up all over my house...my tree is still up, too...technically it's still the Christmas season in Russia, so I'm milking it for all it's worth! :)
This is a small puzzle nativity that I brought back from my trip to Germany last fall
Speaking of Christmas, I received a very nice gift card to Amazon from my parents-in-law (what do you get the person who lives in Russia?) so I've ordered some new tatting books...not that I guess I NEED more tatting books, but...I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival anyway! :) Yay!! :)

  1. Well that school looks very cool and I can see where that would be fun! none her have a plane displayed ha ha.
Sounds fun with still enjoying Christmas, from what I here it is a calender thing. And there is nothing wrong with milking it! :)

    1. Yep, the new school is really nice! One really funny thing about it is that is is 10 (TEN!) floors high and does not have an elevator...so I get a workout when I'm working! Awesome! :) Tomorrow is Epiphany according to the Russian Orthodox calendar, thus bringing the Christmas season to an actual close...so maybe this week I'll get to taking my tree down...maybe :)

  2. How amazing! The TIAS super-imposes right on top of your Mary figure perfectly. LOL. I was thinking it looked a bit like an evil elf before seeing that.
Wonderful of you to volunteer teach - knowledge is power and we should all be empowered.
Re: Tatting Books. They are like Ruffles. One (or one hundred) are never enough! Each one seems to have some pearl for my psyche.
Enjoy! Thank you for updating us.

    1. Ooh, I like the analogy about the books and the Ruffles...I'll use that when my husband asks me why I keep receiving tatting books in the mail and starts to hint that I might now have enough! (He is in charge of the mail delivery at the Consulate, so I can't sneak anything by him! ;)

  3. I can't believe you guessed the TIAS already and gave it away. Now it won't be any fun. Just like finding your mom's hiding place for Christmas presents and not being surprised on Christmas morning. Thanks for ruining the surprise! ; )
