The First of December (ish)

Well ok, technically it's the second of December, but I was away over the weekend and am only now able to post the first of what I hope will be 20+ straight posts, one per day, in a month-long book review of "24 Snowflakes in Tatting" by Lene Bjørn.

Each day I (hope I) will provide a tatted example of a pattern from the book as well as some pertinent information. (Like today I gave you the Title ("24 Snowflakes in Tatting") and Author (Lene Bjørn)!)

The First of December, shuttle tatted in 30 Cebelia.

Until tomorrow then... :)

    1. Thank you...I feel like I should have paid more attention to the length of the thread "spaces", but overall I like how it turned out...! It is on my blocking table, drying as I type... :)

    1. Margaret I am going to mail this snowflake to you so you can see it in person :) It will take a while to make it from Russia, but hopefully you'll get it before New Years! :)

  3. Nice ! Will look forward to your posts (& tats) daily :-)
I will be doing snowflakes next season & hope to make all 24 of Lene's patterns, too. Besides some Amazing snowflakes by fellow tatters that are being compiled ...

    1. Oh bless you for your optimism! I wish I had time to tat daily, let alone post!! I think I was WAY too ambitious, given everything that's going on right now (we pack out our stuff this week and will be moving in 2) but thanks for the encouragement, I'll do the best I can! :)

    1. Yeah, I ended up liking this one more than I thought I would. A holdover from starting with needle tatting is that I kind of hate tatting ring-only patterns, but they look so nice when they are done! :)

  5. Hi Kristen, I am just starting with Lene Bjorn's snowflakes and for the life of me I can't figure out how to start the first one. I see that you finished it, although two years ago, do you remember how you did it? Thanks in advance
