TIAS, T.A.T. and Something Really Fun (oh and an upcoming 15 HOUR PLANE RIDE!!!!!)

Well, I didn't do a good job of keeping up with the daily parts Jane's TIAS this year, but I did manage to finish it on the day the final part was posted...so, yay!
Cute scissors...mine didn't turn out amazingly, but, eh. I'm ok with it. :)

In-between waiting for the pieces of the TIAS, I have been busy with showing my brother around DC, gathering last-minute things to take to Australia, and working on two projects that I can't/won't show you, hehehehehe.

The can't part is the Apprentice phase of Tatters Across Time (T.A.T.)...the organizers specifically ask that we don't show any part of our work or the patterns for the program, so I can't put any pictures up here, but I really enjoyed the experience and I think I am already seeing some benefits in the other project I am working on, which I won't show you because I prefer to show projects finished, and I'm not done yet...

But I LOVE it and it's fun and I can't wait until I'm done so I can show you!!! :)

  1. Wow, busy and exciting! Isn't it wonderful that tatting is so transportable? You will be able to do a little on the plane to help ease the time. And, there are some wonderful tatters in Oz. I look forward to your postings from a new continent.

    1. Tatting is seriously my savior on the planes...it helps keep my mind active, break up the monotony of just watching movies, and makes the time go so much faster. Yay tatting!

  2. Your scissors don't look to bad. Mine was looking good until the very end, but I did try to finish them late last night. I'm going to re-visit them and see what I did wrong. I've thought several times to the Tatters Across Time program but never bring myself to apply. I would think that no matter how long a person has been tatting it couldn't but help you to improve. Have fun on your long flight. I think you should be able to tat on the plane - maybe not all 20 hours, though!

    1. The TAT program is interesting--I haven't gotten my feedback yet, but I hope I will pass the first section, which for an experienced tatter is basic, but a good way to practice those basics and get feedback. I'd say it was worth it!

    1. Thanks! I have had that thread forever and haven't done much with it, and I had that green button, so I guess it was fate :)

    1. I liked the TAT program, or at least the first part (the only part I have finished). I will be very interested to see the feedback from the teachers!
