So, my life is a little crazy right now, what with the move from Russia to our temporary homes (bouncing between my parents and my in-laws) just in time for Christmas...and the flu season!
Yeah. We've had multiple family members in the emergency room this past week, multiple cases of Influenza A, the stomach flu, sinus infections, a sprained shoulder...chaos!!
So, as the resident "well person" I've had a lot of practice being "Nurse Kristen", a role I was not designed for, I assure you!!
I finally grabbed a break between patients to start Jane Eborall's TIAS, which you can find on her blog (or just google her, it comes right up).
Of course this is only the first day, but I already love the pattern because of the lock chain! I have been admiring all the lock chain patterns but never knew how to execute them...and now I do! That Jane, she is one in a million!
Sounds like day 2 is coming tomorrow--hooray!!! :)
You scared me! Looks like that amount a tatting will do just fine!
ReplyDeleteIt was a start--I am much farther along now, even though I fell way behind for a few days!
DeleteHere's to you NOT coming down with any of those bugs! The great thing about Jane's TIAS is that there is only a small amount of tatting done on any given day and no rush if you can't get to it right away. Sounds like the perfect project for you right now. Though maybe a simple one in your pocket for whenever you get a moment...
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, I never did get any of it--we'll see how it goes here in DC and after 20+ hrs in an airplane to Australia...
DeleteHang in there! I know the family is glad you are there to do anything at all.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! (and may your year improve from here).
Thank you! Believe it or not, things did go a bit further downhill from there, but then got better and by the end of our visit we had multiple days of healthy people, hooray!! :)
