Train Tatting and Tea

Tatting on the train is by far my favorite way to travel with tatting!
I started Marilee Rockley's "Arches" on the train to Bath last week and made great strides on the way to Edinburgh today.

Also, I flipping love the UK. Seriously, can somebody find us jobs here so we can live here forever?!

It has been an amazing trip, but since it is Tatting Tea Tuesday I will share one of my favorite new discoveries of the trip...Cream Tea.
Ohhhhhhhh, YUM!
Seriously. Amazing.

Then again, maybe I shouldn't move here...between the Cream Tea and the Galaxy Chocolate, I would probably weigh 100 more pounds than I do right now. But they would be happily added, I tell you. :)

  1. Pleased you like the UK - must say cream teas are one of my favourites, try them in a cafe though and not boxed like that, you will find a big difference and enjoy the taste even more.
Are you heading to the South of England at any point?

  2. Oh! Don't worry, Sally, this was not my first cream tea, just my most recently photographed. I agree, the fresh ones are better. My husband and I even made our own from Marks and Spencer's food hall one day, we are so hooked!

Unfortunately our UK tour is almost over, and the farthest south we will get is London. Some day I'm going to have to make an all-tatting UK tour...hopefully some day soon! It has been 10 years since I was last here, and I don't want to wait 10 more!!

  3. I am glad you came to Bath, i hope you enjoyed the sights of Bath and saw some of the Roman baths , I am only 12miles from Bath, Yes cream tea is a specialty of the West Country, if I had known you were in Bath I would have come and meet you. Perhaps next time. Hope you are enjoying the UK
